Dearest Ruby,

Thank you so very much for helping me create a custom birthday trip. We really enjoyed your beautiful country and everything we experienced with your recommendations, guides and on our own. It was a joy to work with you. I really appreciated your communication skills and response time, something I value very much.

We had many highlights.
Our favorite hotels:
The Resort in Hoi An for the oceanfront location, beautiful sunrises, and easy access to the town.
The Eldora in Hue had a fantastic tub, the room was huge and the breakfast nice.
The La Siesta in Hanoi for it’s prime location, yummy breakfasts and friendly and helpful staff.

The La Fairy shuttle was good and had excellent wifi the whole way. The boat was very pretty (one of the best we saw on the water), the room with the balcony was spacious, the food the first day was really yummy the following day just OK. This boat is 4 stars and although a bit tired on closer look the boat is still 4 stars for service and common areas.

Our favorite spots:
Hoi An (beach, resort, town and clothing), Ninh Binh (unexpected delight) and Halong bay for beauty and UNESCO
Saigon and Hanoi were both awesome cities full of hustle and bustle. Something we will never forget!

The guides were all good. The pacing was a bit over packed, especially in Binh Ninh. Due to the additional park after the river, we could have left that off as the river cruise was more then breathtaking! However, the rest of the quick pace I don’t think that could be helped much due to our limited time. The drivers were all prompt, safe and nice.

The only other thing to mention was that it would have been nice if they paid closer attention to what was open and closed on certain days…Hanoi the ethnography museum was closed and the show in Saigon was not playing on the weekend.

Other than that Larry in Saigon was hilarious and kept us laughing. His English wasn’t as perfect as the others but he was very educated and well traveled and that added to our experience. Ben was sweet, enthusiastic and spoke English very well. Tam was efficient and spoke English very well too. All were very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable.

It was a pleasure to finally meet you in Hanoi and share a drink. My friends were just amazed at how pretty your country is via my Facebook photos. I look forward to passing on your name to other, in addition to Dale and Anna, in the future. Thank you my friend!
