DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1. Arrive Saigon (D)
Upon arrival at Saigon airport, you will be met by our tour guide and transferred to your Hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Welcome dinner with your Vietnamese dishes tonight.

Day 2. Saigon City Tour (B/L)

In the morning, we visit the Reunification Palace once known as “Independent Palace” by Saigon Government or “Norodom Palace” by the Colonial Indochina Government. This is also the place where the latest brutal war ended on April 30, 1975. Then we visit the War Remnants Museum, a poignant display of the futility of war. We also stop at the Notre Dame Cathedral, the General Post Office, which were built in late 19th century, are excellent examples of classic French colonial architecture

We then drive northwest of Saigon to Cu Chi tunnels. After lunch we will explore the spiderweb system of underground tunnel network which was Viet Cong Stronghold during the war. The exploring tour in Cu Chi includes visits to a secret entrance, some parts of tunnel crawl, displays of different kinds of booby traps, the workshops where Viet Cong manufactured their own weapons, etc. Back to Saigon for the night. Dinner on your own.

Day 3. Saigon – Mekong Delta (B, L)

We take over 2 hour drive to Cai Be where we will board a long tail motor boat to visit Cai Be colorful floating market with exciting world of people buying and selling their farming/ orchard produce. After that we visit some cottage industries and learn how rice paper, coconut candy, rice popcorn and fish sauce are made

The trip continues along the outback canals to Dong Hoa Hiep Island located between Vinh Long and Cai Be. During this 40 minutes cruise we will discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life. Stops on the way can be made upon request for particular visits or photos opportunities. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people. We have lunch at a family orchard garden with some local specialties. After a short walk along a narrow canal, the excursion will end at around 3.30pm where the vehicle will await us for our transfer back to hotel. Overnight in Saigon

Day 4. Saigon – Fly to Nha Trang (B)

Today we fly to the resort town of Nha Trang. Arrive at the airport and transfer to our hotel. We can relax and stroll along the beach of this seaside city. The rest of the day is free for your personal choice to enjoy Thap Ba hot-spring therapeutic mud-bath and a relaxing massage.

Day 5. Relax in Nha Trang (B)

Today is free for your leisure. Other options for you can be your own visits to Po Nagar Cham Tower Museum of Oceanographic, Long Son Pagoda, riding Vinpearl trams over Nha Trang bay to amusement park, doing some snorkeling, scuba diving or just simply relax by the beach.

Day 6: Relax in Nha Trang (B)

Another free day to relax in Nha Trang. Enjoy the resort's comfort or just laid back at the beach.

Day 7. Nha Trang – Fly to Da Nang/ Hoi An (B, L)

Early morning transfer to the airport for a short flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, we will visit the Marble Mountain site, where after a short walk to the top, we’ll have panoramic views of the China Beach and surrounding. After that we drive to our hotel in Hoi An and check-in. This afternoon we take a walking tour of the old town Hoi An (a world heritage area) with visits to the Japanese covered bridge, Phuc Kien assemble hall, Phung Hung old house and Quan Cong temple. The rest of the day is at your leisure for your shopping and enjoying this food paradise.

Day 8. Hoi An (B)

The afternoon at your own leisure to explore and enjoy the town for the whole day, practice your bargaining skills in those shops or just simply relax on the Cua Dai beach 3 miles out of town. Today there will also be an optional local cooking class if you are interested.

Day 10. Hoi An - Hue (B, L, D)

Today we leave Hoi An for our scenic drive up north Highway 1 heading the imperial city of Hue. Some photo stops can be made at well-know China Beach, atop Hai Van Pass, Lang Co beach. Following our lunch with Hue specialty, we will see the Imperial Citadel where witnessed Vietnamese latest feudal Kingdom. Check-in our hotel for the night. Dinner in a fine restaurant.

Day 11: Hue City Tour – Fly to Hanoi (B, L, D)

Our Hue City tour today include our boat cruise on Perfume river to see the Thien Mu pagoda where display the Austin car and picture of Monk Thich Quang DUC immolation in Saigon in 1963 in an effort to protest Diem’s unfair policy over Buddhism. The cruise continues to take us up-stream reaching King Minh Mang’s mausoleum for tour learning about his most-favourite King of the Nguyen Dynasty. We’ go back to the city for lunch and resign for the day. Our dinner tonight is served e bit early then we dive to Phu Bai Airport for our one hour flight to Hanoi. We reach to our Hotel in Hanoi at about midnight.

Day 12: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)

Today we have a full day city tour. We commence at the Ho Chi Minh Complex, his Mausoleum and his simple stilt house residence as well as the One Pillar Pagoda. We continue on to the Temple of Literature, proudly regarded as Vietnam’s first university and now a temple dedicated to Confucius, followed by the fascinating Museum of Ethnology. After our lunch at charitable KOTO restaurant, we will continue our day with a cyclo ride through Hanoi Street and enjoy the water puppet show. Dinner is at your own will to try some Hanoi specialties.

Day 13. Hanoi - Halong Bay on Ginger Bhaya Cruise/Ginger Cruise (B, L, D)

Enjoy a relaxing day trip to majestic Halong Bay. Our journey through the rice paddies of the Red River Delta takes around 4 hours. En route we stops at a Hong Ngoc charity center run by and for the handicapped. Upon arrival at the quay we board Bhaya Cruise/ Halong Ginger Cruise, a luxury traditional junk and begin our cruise through Halong Bay with a delicious seafood lunch. The boat ventures deeper into the vast bay with breath-taking limestone outcrops and emerald-green waters. We stop at one the bay’s most well known caves. Later there is a steep climb up Titop Mountain where we are rewarded with some stunning panoramic views of Halong Bay. Back on board the junk, enjoy cocktails while savoring the sunset, and later unwind at the restaurant. We have dinner and spend the night on board.

Day 14. Halong Bay - Hanoi (B, D)

Wake up early for memorable fresh scenery over the bay and take a morning Tai Chi exercise. After breakfast, we will visit a beautiful limestone grotto then back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Checkout is at 11:45 am. Disembark the cruise and our awaiting bus which will return us to Hanoi. Our farewell dinner tonight will be in a lovely Vietnamese restaurant.

Day 15. Depart Vietnam (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and it’s our free time until we transfer to Noi Bai Airport for our flight home or to start another adventure!
