  • Morning
After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up and take you for a short-drive to My Tho.  Upon arrival, you will meet the local guide and embark on a motorboat and heading out on the mighty Mekong to Con Qui Islet. In contrast to many of the overly visited Mekong islands, we choose Con Qui for its quieter, less crowded, and more authentic slice of Mekong life. Hop on a bike (or horse cart) and savor the leisurely time to explore and pedal through this green and unspoiled island. Make frequent stops for photos and glimpses and of the daily lives of local villagers.

You'll then take a small boat as you are rowed quietly along the thick mangroves of Vam Xep, a small canal with little village houses dotted along its sides. Get off the boat to enjoy some honeyed tea at the 'Coconut Artisan' village to check out the workshops where a range of coconut husk and fiber products are skillfully handcrafted.

You will next take a small sampan along Vam Chua canal, gliding peacefully along the hidden waterways surrounded by immense variety of tropical plants. The quiet, rural setting is a welcome and restorative retreat to the frenetic buzz of Saigon which seems far, far away.

    Afternoon
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will finish the tour and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. The remainder of the day is free. Dinner will be on your own.

    Afternoon
Upon arrival in Phat Thiet train station you will be picked up by your private driver and transferred (15 minute) to your resort in Mui Ne to check in.

Located about 180km to the north east of Ho Chi Minh city, Mui Ne is famous its beautiful sceneries and clean beaches. The most interesting thing in Mui Ne is to visit the sand dunes, sand is stacked in hills and mountains, one after another like in a desert, running towards horizon, this is really a heaven for photo lovers, the best time to visit sand hills is in the late aternoon when sun is about to set, it is time to discover the magics of the sands, a lot of travellers stay overnight on the sands, in the tents just like nomadic people. You can also visit the local fishing villages and a fish sauce store to see how this delicious local delicacy is made.

“Thank you Indochina - wonderful tour”

My husband and I joined by two friends recently toured Vietnam for 12 days - what an incredible experience it was . I spent many hours surfing the web looking to a decent tour operator in Vietnam who could put together a program that suited our needs. I found Lam at Indochina Pioneer to be extremely professional and knowledgeable and produced a wonderful tour covering all the highlights we requested and at a very reasonable price. The hotel selection was terrific and his tour guides in each city were friendly and very informative. we travelled from the Mekong Delta in the south up to SaPa in the north , including HCMC , Hoian, Hue, Hanoi and loved every part of it, especially the people . I highly recommend Indochina Pioneer to make your dream holiday to Vietnam a reality. Thank you Lam

“Vietnam and Cambodia Customised Tour ”

Whatever you read about Indochina Pioneer , all I can say is that anybody who gives them a bad review must need their head examining .

The 15 day tour they put together for me and my 2 friends was absolutely fantastic and Ruby , who looked after us made sure that it was crammed full of interesting activities with friendly and knowledgeable guides , high quality vehicles and great hotels .

Also , the price for the entire trip was unbeatable including internal flights daily breakfast and lunch most days plus dinner on the Halong Bay and Mekong Delta stays .

The hotels were all 5 star rated and apart from one noisy room in Ho Chi Minh City , we had no complaints .

I will recommend using Indochina Pioneer to whoever I talk to about visiting South East Asia .

It was such a fantastic holiday and everything went like clockwork thanks to Ruby .
