Day 1 :   Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) Arrival
Day 2 :   Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels – Cao Dai
Day 3 :   Saigon City tour – Fly to Nha Trang

Day 5 :   Nha Trang (free day)
Day 6 :   Nha Trang – Fly to Hanoi
Day 7 :   Hanoi – Halong Bay
Day 8 :   Hanoi City tour - Departure

So that price includes the following hotels, activities, and transport, and visits to attractions are by private car and guide unless otherwise stated. Your guide will pick you up from lobby of your hotel in the morning. The guide will confirm the pick-up time the day before. DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon )
Upon arrival, you will be met by our Tour Guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this dynamic city.
Overnight in Saigon.

Day 2: Cao Dai Temples & Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
We start our day with a visit to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels. This extreme 3-level underground system is in total, about 250 km stretching from Saigon suburb to the Cambodian border and was home to Vietcong guerillas for 10 years of the last brutal war. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life was like during that difficult time.

Tay Ninh, near the Cambodian border, is home to the unique Cao Dai sect, whose patron saints include Joan of Arc, Victor Hugo and Winston Churchill to name a few. The religion is an odd mix of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Christianity. The trip to Cao Dai Holy See in Tay Ninh is scheduled after our exploration of Cu Chi tunnel, allowing us to experience the grand mid-day service. Return to Saigon in the evening.

Day 3: HCMC Tour - Nha Trang (B)
This half – day city tour unravels Saigon's turbulent past and also provides a glimpse into the fascinating variety the city has to offer.  We first visit the Reunification Palace: Here on April 30th 1975 the war officially ended when tank 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time, the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. We then continue to the War Remnants Museum: This is a poignant display of the futility of war, the Notre Dame Cathedral and General Post Office: Built between 1877 and 1883 this is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for a short flight to Nha Trang.

Arrive in Cam Ranh airport (Nha Trang) and transfer to our central located hotel. Overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 4: Nha Trang (B, L)
After breakfast we are transferred to the docks to board our boat for a day of relaxation. We visit a local fishing village to experience the daily life and routine of the local fishermen and their families. After that we cruise to Tam Island where we’ll have a great chance to snorkel and swim in the clear blue waters. We return to our hotel in the late afternoon. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the comfort of our hotel or just relax and sunbath at the town beach.
Overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 5: Nha Trang (B)
The whole day will be at leisure. We can relax and stroll along the beach of this seaside city. There is an option go to the Thap Ba hot springs to enjoy a soak in the therapeutic mud and a relaxing massage.

Day 6: Nha Trang - Hanoi – City tour (B)
Morning transfer to Cam Ranh airport (Nha Trang) for a short flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, meet our guide and transfer to the hotel. In the after noon we a cyclo (rickshaw) ride to explore the hustle and bustle of Hanoi’s Old-Quarter and then attend the traditional water puppet show. We end up our day with a cyclo (rickshaw) ride to explore the hustle and bustle of Hanoi’s Old-Quarter. Tonight we will have dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant to sample Hanoi cuisine. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi - Halong Bay day trip (B, L, D)
Morning pick up at your hotel and leave for Halong.  Stop en route for a short break in Hai Duong city (20 mins).  We arrive in Halong at mid-day then embark on a four hour boat trip to cruise Halong Bay. We will enjoy a guided tour to Thien Cung Cave for exiting exploration before returning to our boat for a scrumptious seafood lunch. Continue the boat trip to enjoy the extremely beautiful scenery on Ha Long bay. We will cruise through a floating fisherman village to learn more about their floating life. Return back to the harbor and board the vehicle for the return journey to Hanoi. Arrive in Ha Noi in the evening.

Day 8: Hanoi City Tour - Departure (B, L)
After breakfast at our hotel we depart to visit the Ho Chi Minh complex, including the One Pillar Pagoda, the former leader’s house on stilts and his Mausoleum. This is followed by the Temple of Literature – the very first university of Vietnam. We then continue on downtown to visit the Hoan Kiem Lake which is considered as the soul of Hanoi and Ngoc Son Temple, before we enjoy authentic Hanoi cuisine for lunch. The rest of the day is free for the last minute shopping until transfer to Noi Bai (Hanoi) airport for your flight home.
